With very high-precision photometry, the CoRoT and Kepler space missions allow us to characterise Jupiter-size planets with unprecedented precision and to find the optical planetary occultation which gives information on the planet equilibrium temperature and albedo. Besides that, by detecting small-size planetary candidates, they have triggered studies on the frequency of planets with radii between 2 and 4 Earth radii around solar-like stars. This is of fundamental importance for models of planet formation and evolution. I will present my recent works in this context.
